Checkout with two payment options

Two choices appear at checkout. The Credit Card choice takes the four card networks in the table above, processed by Stripe through the MeshCheckout gateway. The PayPal option opens a PayPal window, where a PayPal balance or a card saved in PayPal can pay.

Payment logos with a match at checkout

Five logos sit in the site footer, and each one matches a method that works at checkout. A logo for anything else never appears.

Card numbers without storage on the site

Card details go straight into the Stripe payment field. PayPal handles its own login. Quirefox never sees or stores a full card number. Every page loads over HTTPS. No system is free of risk, so a strange charge should go to support the same day.

Orders with a fraud check

Some orders are held for a short review. The customer gets an email within 1 business day asking to confirm a detail. With no answer within 2 business days, the order is cancelled with a full refund. The review protects the cardholder as much as the store.

Totals with every part on screen

Checkout total means the amount charged for an order. It has up to three parts:

  1. The garment prices.
  2. The shipping charge, $6.80 below $79 and nothing from $79.
  3. Ohio sales tax, for Ohio deliveries only.

Each part appears on the checkout page before payment is confirmed. The Half Zip Hoodie with Zip Pockets in Royal Blue at $40.99 plus the Raglan Two Button Polo in Army Green at $37.99 make $78.98. Delivered outside Ohio, that order totals $85.78.

Fees without a place at checkout

No handling fee, card fee, or currency fee is added. No insurance or rush option is sold. Nothing at checkout is preselected.

Sales tax with an Ohio-only line

Quirefox is based in Ohio and collects Ohio sales tax on orders delivered in Ohio. The tax covers the garments and the shipping charge, as Ohio law requires. Orders delivered to other states show no tax line. Any tax appears as its own line before payment.

Prices with US dollars only

Prices are in US dollars. Every size of a garment costs the same. Listed prices do not include sales tax. A price can change on the site, but a placed order keeps the price it was placed at.

Charges with the order as the trigger

Quirefox charges the full checkout total at the moment of ordering. That applies to cards and to PayPal alike. No part of the payment waits for shipping.

Card holds without a second charge

A card that was declined may still show a pending amount for a few days. That hold is not a charge. The bank usually drops it within 3-5 business days. Only the attempt that went through is charged.

Order emails with the order number

A confirmation email arrives right after checkout. It lists the order number, the garments, the sizes, and the checkout total. If it does not arrive within an hour, check the spam folder, then write to support.

Declined payments without an order

A declined payment creates no order. Another card or PayPal can be tried at once. Cancelled orders are refunded completely, and the refund leaves within 2 business days.

A billing address without a country limit

Billing addresses from any country are fine. Shipping addresses are a different matter: they must fall within the 48 contiguous states or Washington, DC.

Payment types without a checkout option

Checkout does not take Apple Pay, Google Pay, checks, or bank transfers. Gift cards, store credit, installment plans, cryptocurrency, and cash on delivery are not taken either.

Price errors with a cancellation right

A listing can show an obvious error. An example would be the $48.99 Ribbed Quarter Zip Pullover with Zip Pockets in Khaki shown at $4.89. An order placed at such a price is cancelled before shipping and refunded in full. The customer can reorder at the correct price. An email explains the error the same business day it is found.

Discount codes without a current offer

No discount codes are running, and the coupon field is switched off. If codes return, the rules will be one code per order, entered before payment. A code cannot be added to an order after it is placed.

Disputes with a support email first

A charge that looks wrong is best raised with support first. Support replies within 1 business day and can refund directly. A bank dispute often takes weeks longer. The right to dispute a charge with the bank stays with the cardholder either way.

Statement entries with the processor’s name

The card processor sets the name printed on a card statement. To match a charge, compare its amount and date with the order email. Support can confirm any charge on request.

Personal data with its own policy

The Privacy Policy lists what the payment step collects and who receives it.
